I don't think about competitors a lot......

As you enter into the class of MBA-Finance & Administration at the second floor of the renovated but old building of IMS, you can see the first bench of any one row is vacant. That one is unofficially reserved for the newly-examined topper of the class- Anshita Agrawal. As her 21st Birthday comes closer, we talked her about her life at IMS, her dreams, her aspirations and many more…………….!!!!!!

AV-How is the feeling becoming the topper of the class and maintaining the dominance that you have created over the years in different institutions?

It always feels good yaar..!!!!! But to some extent, only for the outside world, means it doesn’t have any significant value at home due the fact that they are used to of it (Laughs). It’s just any other day for my parents and I don’t get any special appreciation from them. But whenever any school or college friend introduces me claiming “She is the topper of our class”, it feels proud and I really like those tiny moments.

AV-How tough it was to achieve that spot when the class has many good academicians?

Well, of course when you are in a Post-Graduation course you may have competitors because people come from diverse fields carrying their specialization and expertise. But there is nothing tough at all. I only thinks about having a good homework to sustain my identity among all and never pays much attention to the competition prevailing

AV-Why you decided to choose MBA rather than going for conventional M.Sc after your graduation?

After few years, I wanted to see myself in the corporate sector as there are many women coming into the scene gaining that top positions and spots to serve organizations at best, so having an MBA is a good way to fulfil that. Also Management offers you much practical approach to situations and conditions which can be related to real life and this was purely lacking in conventional M.Sc. course.

AV-How the Life@IMS is and how do you look at the Institute?

It’s great and its study with a lot of fun. I have never done that type of study which eventually keeps you coolheaded and relax. Regarding the Institute, I think it is the best one in the state and if I can gain good knowledge here, a job offer letter is not far away from me.

AV-How is it different from writing a graduation exam and writing an MBA Exam?

One of the basic differences between both of them is that graduation course was boring, a bit tough, it was more of a bookish approach in it and everything was written after intensive cramming, whereas in MBA course a good understanding and command over subject is enough to succeed.

AV-What is your success mantra that you would like to share with the readers?

No specific mantra but I always trust and believe in me and my abilities. Follows sincerity in my life and never takes competition as a fearsome factor. Preparing regular notes, a light revision of them and a disciplined approach helps me a lot.
